First card for 2011 for a challenge

This is a card created using a Sketch challenge at Christian Paper Crafts.
Once I would never use a sketch for my card making but now I enjoy doing so. This card is made ready for sending to my sister-in-law for her 70th Birthday later this month. Blenda's favourite colour is green which is why I chose these colours for the card.

Christmas Card Challenge at Ideal Papercrafts

Towards the end of last year I took part in a Christmas Card Challenge ( the cards shared in previous postings) and it was a lovely surprise to be the one who won the major prize. This is a photo of the prize - a blank recipe folder. Until I receive the prize I am not sure what I will be doing with it. I think the pages inside are blank and maybe pocket type pages so I may use it as a special photo album.

Christmas Card Challenge at Ideal Papercrafts- Week6 - #2

For this challenge we were asked to use a Journalling Tag on a card. I found one in a set of papers and things that came free with a Scrapbooking magazine - I turned the tag on the side and stamped on it. The green paper was from the same free kit.

This time we had to use some form of acetate on a gift card.

Christmas Card Challenge at Ideal Papercrafst - Week 5 - #2

This card had to include an old commercial Christmas Card.

Christmas Card Challenge at Ideal Papercrafst - Week 5 - #1

For this card we were asked to use embossing ( I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz one called "Bricked" ) and include a star. I made my star with a Quilling Comb ( first time of doing this technique ).
