ABC Summer Crop at My Sketch World

This is the third year I have taken part in this ABC crop over at My Sketch World and so far we have been given A and B.
A is a layout and we had the chose of a list of things beginning with the letter A.  I chose to use three of the letters on my page : August, Arrow and Animal.
This challenge gave me incentive to create another page for my album about my mother.
Here is my page:

Now today the letter B  is for Bling.  We are asked to create a card with some bling.  I went to my flower stash and straight away spotted the flower I have used because it was ready made with some bling.

Sketch-a-thon at My Sketchworld

I have not added anything to this blog since last year so I thought I would share the papercrafts I have been doing this month.
I have taken part in a Sketch-a-thon over at My Sketchworld to celebrate their 7th year.
We were given a new sketch each day for 20 days.  I have completed all the 20 pages or cards before the deadline we were given - 2nd March so I am pleased with what I achieved.  The main thing I am ever so pleased with is that this sketch-a-thon inspired me to start an album about my mother with mostly her photos from her older albums. It has been so enjoyable and I am pleased with the pages I have created.
We were given card sketches as well as page sketches. All of my pages are 8 x 8 inches in size which worked very well with the small  old  style photos.

I will now share my 20 results. Starting with Sketch #1 and ending with #20:

Week 2 Christmas in July challenge at Ideal Papercrafts

This week we are asked to make a pop-up style card for a child.
I used my KNK Maxx machine and a great set of SVG files from Sugar Gem Crafts to  make my card and I did have fun making this card. I usually am hesitant to make construction type cards but with this great file from Sugar Gem and my great cutting machine it was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

Christmas in July Card challenge at Ideal Papercrafts

This month I am taking part in a challenge over at Ideal Papercrafts.
Here is the first card for week 1.
We were asked to pick the flag colours from a country competing in the olympics to inspire us for our card and to also if possible add something which helps show which country.
I chose Ireland - orange, green and white. I added the irish gaelic word for Chritmas which is "Nollag" and also added three shamrocks.

Hybrid Cards

Lately I have started to enjoy making what is called "Hybrid" Greetings Cards. It is combining digital art with papercrafts.  I think I am enjoying it because it is so much quicker than stamping and colouring in an image. Plus the image can be made to any size you want it to be.
So today I decided to take part in a challenge from  The Hybrid Chick blog to use ribbons on a card.

For my card I used digital products from a kit called Sweet Songs by Viva Artistry.

Calendar Swap with Rosy

It has been quite some time since I shared any of my papercrafts so I thought I would share the six Calendar pages I have made so far this year. I am doing a swap with a Stamping/Email Pal in the USA. We have never met but enjoy our friendship via emails.
We decided on making our pages have the theme of Flowers and Insects. I am using an old calendar stamp by Hero Arts for the base of the dates and the numbers are a set of alphas and numbers by Hero Arts. Also I am using an old set of Flowers of the Year by Hero Arts. These stamps for each month have that month's flower on them.  I am enjoying making these and posting one off each month to my friend in the USA.

Here are the pages I have made for the first six months of 2012:
